“Grandpa, you made that for ME?”

Our sewing room has been abuzz around here the last few weeks. It’s a bit idle right now, which is OK with me, since I’m trying to figure this new Photoshop system out and get caught up on the budget and emails and other computer stuff. There are projects in the works, though – mostly in my brain right now. In the meantime, I just gotta show you what hubby made for that adorable grandbaby.

These were done totally by hubby, although I helped take a seam out once, and gave a few pointers here and there. It’s in the mail, and I sure hope they like it when it arrives. I had a whole pile of star material that hubby really liked, so all we had to buy was some backing. Hubby chose the backing and decided on the design. He then measured the fabric and cut it out – no pattern but the one in his head. I think I must be rubbing off on him! He also chose the font and printed out the letters for the name. I think he did a pretty good job on the whole thing. What do you think?

the quilting was a bit of a challenge for him, but he did it

    • I’d say that’s a true statement. 😆 He’s been teaching himself to sew ever since I got really fired up about it – that’s how I got that second machine. He wanted to use the one I had!! 😆
