Pray for the East Coast

As Hurricane Sandy unleashes its fury on the east coast of the U.S. and Canada, I think we all need to pray for the folks directly affected, and for this entire nation in the aftermath. The days to come are going to be a challenge for all of us. Please pray.

  1. Yes, I totally agree with your call for prayer. My family has already been blessed by His mercy during Sandy. One of the blessings of blogging is connecting with sisters and brothers for the purpose of uniting together before our Father …especially in the days to come.

    • Amen to that! We have missionaries in that area that we’ve been praying for too. Some we’ve heard from that they’re OK, others not yet. One said they were OK, but a huge tree had fallen, and by God’s grace, it went right between the church and another building on the property. No one was hurt, and it did not touch either building. Praise the LORD for that!

      • Praying here in Southern Illinois for those in the storm!! Wondering if GOD is letting Obama know that HE (GOD) is in charge. Obama did not want to give the troops extra time to vote but it looks like he may have to give a large chunk of the nation extra time…How you like that obama!!!

        • I’m thinking a lot of stuff is going to be put on the back burner until things kind of get back on track. We did hear from several of our missionaries today; they were all OK, thankfully.

    • This is a bad time of year for those folks to be without heat and electricity. The ones in the country can make it a little better if they have alternate heating methods, but the folks in the city are the ones I feel so bad for – they rely on electricity even to cook and do laundry and other things I take for granted.
